Liknon is comprised of a select group of experienced executives and professionals who are passionate about building successful businesses in the right way and for the long term. In our previous careers, we all shared a common theme of being sought out by our peers, clients, investors, and customers to help them launch their new businesses. Our international experience adds another important level of insight into the requirements for successfully launching in new markets.

Liknon team members have functional specialties ranging from business strategy, venture and PE investments, consumer insights and marketing, to technology, fulfillment and operations. Although our individual experiences span various industries and geographies, we all share the same core set of Values – including: thrive with integrity and intellectual honesty, do whatever it takes to achieve the right results on time and work with business partners to create co-profitable relationships

Jonathan Chen

President and Chief Executive Officer

Jonathan is a leader in the development and implementation of successful business strategies for both online and traditional companies in a variety of industries.

He founded and is growing Liknon as a unique business accelerator for new business opportunities. Jonathan achieves results through the strong alliance relationships with prominent venture capital firms, software companies, Fortune 500 companies and consulting firms in the US, Japan and Taiwan that he has nurtured over the year

At Liknon, Jonathan assumed the CEO role for the US operations of a successful Japanese eCommerce payment infrastructure business. He successfully recruited key management and business development team members and defined the break-through strategy for the US market. He forged solid relationships with strategic merchants and technology partners that produced outstanding results in just 4 months.

Jonathan also took charge of an innovative US-based B2C eCommerce company from cradle to sale. On behalf of a prominent Japan-based venture firm, he developed the detailed financial model and business plan for a first mover into the Japanese real estate services market. He accomplished recruiting and business development milestones with marquee-name partners and successfully transitioned the business back to the venture firm.

Prior to Liknon, Jonathan led the eBusiness Practice at C-Change and co-led the Energy Practice at Gemini Consulting. He has implemented retail operations, repositioned brands for several Fortune 500 companies and developed multi-channel market strategies that united online businesses with brick-and-mortar operations. He was published in the Oil and Gas Journal and was quoted in The Industry Standard regarding marketing strategies and eCommerce trends.

Jonathan holds an AB in economics and psychology from Stanford University and an MBA (SM) from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Winnie Willcox

Vice President and Board Member

Winnie possesses a distinct expertise in the areas of consumer trends, customer service and consumer behaviors. Her long track record of achievements in building businesses, managing operations and providing leadership for client-driven businesses demonstrates her ability to successfully launch new businesses in new markets and identify trends across a wide range of industries, consumer segments and business opportunities.

A founder and board member of Liknon, Winnie focuses on accelerating new business opportunities in alternative markets within the U.S. and Asia creating extraordinary results for our clients.

Winnie assumed the VP of Business Development role for the US operations of a successful Japanese eCommerce payment infrastructure business. Winnie shaped the breakthrough strategy for the US market, defining the targeted consumer, merchant and distributor markets, and forged solid relationships with merchants and distributors. A high-yield business development process achieved better than expected results in just 4 months. Winnie also co-founded an innovative US based-B2C eCommerce company, and managed it from cradle to sale.

Prior to Liknon, Winnie pioneered several innovative and successful retail marketing campaigns in her 15 years as a Merchandising Executive with the $33 billion Target Corporation. In addition, she developed and implemented aggressive strategic business plans and globally marketed both branded and private label products in ten different merchandising categories.

Winnie also led the Retail Center of Excellence at Gemini Consulting, a $500 million global management consultancy. As a management consultant, Winnie provided leadership to her clients' senior management and project teams throughout the strategic development, piloting, and national launch of three major brands. Winnie's work has resulted in the elevation of how marketing divisions contribute to major national petroleum marketers and in the development of the Retail Consulting Practice at Electronic Data Systems.

As a member of the management team of Bean/Willcox Small Business Acquisitions, Winnie analyzed and acquired businesses.

Winnie holds a BS from Colorado State University.

Suzanne Passalacqua

Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions

Suzanne Passalacqua has built an impressive track record delivering proven results in her work with both emerging growth clients and Fortune 100 clients, primarily in technology and services.

In both later-stage and start-up environments, Suzanne has executed sell-side and buy-side transactions, including buy-outs, corporate restructurings, execution of growth plans, sourcing deals, directing diligence teams, and leading transaction negotiations and execution. She has also led an array of corporate finance and strategic advisory initiatives, including debt and equity financings in public and private markets, the development and execution of business plans and strategic alliances, assessing valuations, and delivering fairness opinions. She is responsible for having advised clients in transactions totaling over $1.5 billion in value and has served several portfolio companies through hands-on involvement and Board representation.

Previously, as Director of Corporate Development for McKessonHBOC, Suzanne advised on transaction alternatives, managed external advisors, represented McKesson’s investments as a Director, and acted as a liaison to the public and private investment community. At Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (now Credit Suisse First Boston), Suzanne worked primarily with emerging growth companies. She spearheaded the internet healthcare technology effort on the West Coast, by developing a business plan and calling effort. While at DLJ, Suzanne oversaw M&A and corporate financing processes on behalf of clients.

Suzanne earned bachelor’s degrees in economics and Italian from the University of California at Davis, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. She is a member of the California State Bar and her accomplishments include having won a favorable decision from the California Supreme Court.
